Ibiza resident Miane makes her DFTD debut with ‘Wimbo’, a fiery club release with an internationally appealing sound. A self-proclaimed ‘DIY’ DJ, Miane has developed a unique sonic aesthetic over the past seven years, leading to support from BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard and Pete Tong. Her distinct, organic sound has also appeared in many global playlists from Housewerk to Arabtronica, showing her ability to create music that crosses cultural boundaries. This is especially apparent in her latest release ‘Wimbo’; Miane works with striking Kenyan vocals, singing in their native language of Kikuyu, to craft a modern house record with innate spirituality and undeniable club heat.
